1/2 bag of potatoes
3 medium / 2 large carrots
2 sticks of celery
Bacon (2 rashers per person)
Sausages (2 or 3 per person)
Thyme
Parsley
3 - 4 Vegetable stock cubes
Dumplings - optional - but very nice (1 or 2 per person
Serves 4-6
Peel (if necessary) and chop potatoes, carrots, celery, bacon, thyme, parsley, and place in a large saucepan with sausages and dumplings.
Cover ingredients with hot water.
Dissolve and add the stock cubes.
Bring to the boil and then simmer until everything is cooked (usually an hour).
